How do I trouble shoot email notification issues?
Let’s say you’ve noticed something like, “Hey, I suddenly stopped getting emails for payment received but I didn't change my preferences.” This situation can arise for a few reasons.
Here’s what you can do:
- Confirm your settings: First, take a moment to check your notification settings in your Mollie account. Sometimes, minor adjustments can happen without your realisation.
- Email server issues: It’s also possible that our email server isn't able to connect with your email server. If you suspect this might be the case, contact your email service provider. They can check for any server errors that may be blocking emails from Mollie.
- Consider webhooks: Instead of relying solely on email notifications, you might find it beneficial to use webhooks for real-time updates about new payments. This way, you'll receive instant notifications directly related to your transactions. You can find more details in the Mollie Webhooks Documentation.
Good to know: The notification centre is your safety net for crucial account updates. You can find it within the Mollie Dashboard or app, ensuring you and your team always stay informed about key activities and alerts regarding your account. This feature helps prevent missed opportunities and keeps you on top of your business activities.
How do I manage preferences for email messages?
- Opt-out of marketing messages: If you wish to stop receiving marketing emails, simply scroll to the footer of any marketing email you’ve received from us. There, you’ll find an “Unsubscribe” link.
- Update other email preferences: If you're looking to adjust your preferences for essential account-related messages, visit your notification settings. You can do this by clicking on the link “Go to your notification settings.” This will direct you to the relevant categories and subcategories where you can modify your email preferences.
Note: Some things we’re obliged to tell you about – like changes to our Terms & Conditions – so you won’t be able to opt out of these communications.
