How does 2FA work?

2FA stands for two factor authentication. It’s an extra layer of security for your Mollie account. With 2FA you add an additional step when you log in into your Mollie account. First, you’ll enter your password as you’re used to. After this, you log in via an Authenticator app or with a code you receive through text message.

 

How do I enable 2FA?

  1. Open your Mollie Dashboard.
  2. Click on the name of your organization on the top left.
  3. Click on Account settings.
  4. Go to the tab Security.
  5. Enable the 2FA method you prefer.
  6. Perform the 2FA authentication to set up the method.
      • Can you not log in? Check if you verified your email yet.

 

How do I disable 2FA?

  1. Open your Mollie Dashboard.
  2. Click on the name of your organization on the top left.
  3. Click on Account settings.
  4. Go to the tab Security.
  5. Disable the 2FA method.
  6. Enter your password to confirm.

 

How can I reset 2FA?

Have you lost the device you use when you log in into your Mollie account or is the device broken?Sometimes you can reset 2FA.

Where do I get back up codes for 2FA?

To find your 2FA backup codes:
  1. Open your Mollie Dashboard.
  2. Click on the name of your account in the top left.
  3. Go to Account settings > Security.
  4. Select Show codes.
