What does Mollie need to verify my account?

When you create a new account, the provided information has to be checked. Mollie typically checks the following details:

Legal representative/UBO

We need to verify both the legal representative of your company and the ultimate beneficial owner (UBO). This ensures that we can identify the key representatives and shareholders of your business. For this reason, we require that you add these stakeholders in your Mollie account with their personal details.

Identification documents

To verify the legal representative(s) of your organization, we require a copy of an identification document. Acceptable documents include a passport, ID card, residence permit, or driving license. The specific documents required may vary by country – please refer to What identity documents are accepted?  for more information.

Bank account

You will need to provide your bank account details so that we can transfer payouts to you. Please ensure that your bank account meets the necessary requirements and complete the verification payment for the account.

Website

We will review your website to understand your business activities. Ensure that your website is live and clearly displays the necessary information about your products and services, including pricing and descriptions. If you don’t have a website, you can fill out the details of the products and services you offer in your website profile, and provide the website link to an invoicing system or business-related social media page.

If additional verification is required for your account, a blue button will appear at the top of your Mollie Dashboard. Clicking this button will direct you to a page detailing which information is still needed to verify your account.
