What information is obligatory for me to post on my website?

When you are offering products or services via the internet, this falls under the 'distance sales' act. There is a number of details that are compulsory for you to put up on your website, particularly when it concerns a webshop.

  • trade name (as registered with the Chamber of Commerce);
  • Chamber of Commerce registration number;
  • VAT number;
  • Business address;
  • phone number;
  • email address or contact form;

Instead of a telephone number, you can also offer a different form of contact. This can be a live chat, or a Skype address. A condition is that all information must be easy to find. This includes, for instance, the contact page and the 'about us' page. It is not sufficient only to list the information in the terms and conditions.

For more information on this subject, please consult the ACM website.
