What is an additional domain?

If payments are being processed through a website that has not been added to your Mollie account as an additional website, Mollie may block those transactions.

What is an additional website?

An additional website is a website that a customer is redirected to after clicking the original link. In other words, the payment flow starts on one website but continues or is completed on another domain.

Your payments may be blocked if you are using additional websites with the same API key that have not been added to your Mollie account. When creating a Mollie account, you are required to add your main website profile as well as any additional websites that will be used under the same profile.

You can only add an additional website if the product/services fall within the same product/service category. If it falls outside the product/service category of your main website profile, you have to add an additional website profile to your Mollie Dashboard.

What steps are needed to unblock payments from the additional website?

To unblock payments from the additional website(s), you must add the additional website(s) to your Mollie Dashboard:

  1. Log in to your Mollie Dashboard
  2. Go to: Profiles → Business activity → Under “Additional website ”
  3. Add any additional websites which fall under the same product/service category used for accepting payments.

By doing so, you confirm that these websites are officially part of your business and are authorised to accept payments on your behalf. We will review the new domain(s),and you can track the status in your Mollie Dashboard once they have been approved.
