iDEAL 2.0

iDEAL will be replaced by iDEAL 2.0 and all businesses that accept iDEAL payments need to migrate to iDEAL 2.0 by 1 March 2025.

What is iDEAL 2.0? 

iDEAL 2.0 aims to provide a better experience for businesses and customers by streamlining the purchasing flow: customers who select iDEAL at checkout will be redirected to a new iDEAL payment page that uses new customer profiles. These use cookies to auto-fill saved details during the payment process to help your customers pay more quickly and easily.

 

Migrating to iDEAL 2.0

Depending on the integration, Mollie users need to take the following steps:

  • Custom integration: Remove the bank selection option from the checkout page. 
  • Wtyczka sklepu internetowego: Zaktualizuj swoją aktualną wtyczkę ecommerce i upewnij się, że na stronie checkout nie pojawia się rozwijana lista wyboru banku. 
  • Mollie checkout: No action required, we automatically migrated you to iDEAL 2.0 in July 2024.

Migration steps for a custom integration: 

  1. Sprawdź, czy na Twojej stronie checkout znajduje się rozwijana lista wyboru banku (zwane również wyborem emitarownika).
  2. Jeśli żaden rozwijany list nie pojawia się, nie są wymagane dalsze działania.
  3. If there is a bank selection dropdown, remove it and instead only display the iDEAL logo and payment method name to the consumer.
    Additionally, stop sending in the Issuer ID in your ‘Create payment’ request. 
  4. Gdy przestaniesz wysyłać ID emitenta, odpowiedź na wywołanie API będzie zawierała link do nowej zdalnej strony płatności iDEAL, na której konsument wybierze swój bank emitet dla płatności iDEAL.
NOTE: in case you are using the Methods API to dynamically receive the list of issuers for iDEAL, you can remove this step from your integration. 

 

Kroki migracji dla wtyczki sklepu internetowego: 

  1. Sprawdź, czy na stronie checkout znajduje się rozwijana lista wyboru banku.
  2. Jeśli żaden rozwijany list nie pojawia się, nie są wymagane dalsze działania.

NOTE: If there is no option to disable it, the dropdown will disappear automatically after you update the plugin to the latest version.
