How do I activate my terminal?

Activating your payment terminal
Once your terminal has been delivered, you'll need to activate it before you can start accepting in-person payments.

Before you begin
Inspect your terminal before use. Check for any signs of tampering or missing components. If your terminal includes a built-in printer, ensure the paper roll is correctly inserted with the paper end feeding out of the device.

You can find your passcode in the box your terminal was delivered in, as well as on the Point-of-Sale page in your Mollie Dashboard.

Step-by-Step activation

A920 Pro (Mobile Terminal)

  • Press and hold the power button to turn on the terminal
  • Tap the home screen three times quickly to open the settings menu
  • Navigate to Internet Settings > Wi-Fi & Mobile Network
  • Connect to your preferred Wi-Fi network or enable the mobile network (a 4G SIM comes pre-installed)
  • Once the home screen displays "Ready to use", your terminal is activated

A35 (Fixed Terminal)

  • Plug the terminal into a power outlet to turn it on
  • Connect to the internet using one of the following options:
    • WIFI: Tap the home screen three times quickly to open the settings menu, navigate to Internet Settings > WIFI and connect to your preferred network
    • Ethernet: Plug in the cable and the terminal will connect automatically
  • Once the home screen displays "Ready to use", your terminal is activated
