To use Apple Pay with Mollie, you first need to activate credit cards as a payment method.
It is not possible to enable Apple Pay if credit cards are not active as a payment method.
Activating Apple Pay
- In your Mollie Dashboard, click on your organisation name in the top left corner.
- Go to Organisation settings > Payment methods.
- Select Apple Pay.
- Follow the steps on the Apple website.
As soon as Apple Pay is activated, it works in all countries where the payment method is launched by Apple.
Which plugins and platforms support Apple Pay?
Currently, Apple Pay is available for:
- Gambio
- JTL
- Magento 1
- Magento 2
- Mijnwebwinkel
- Odoo
- OpenCart
- OroCommerce
- Oxid
- Plentymarkets
- PrestaShop
- Shopware
- Sylius
- WooCommerce
For now, Apple Pay is not available for:
- Shopify
- CCV Shop
- Ecwid
- EpiServer
- Lightspeed
Why can't I activate Apple Pay? / Why is Apple Pay not available in my account?
In order to offer Apple Pay, Mollie needs to ensure that we remain compliant with the Acceptable Use Guidelines for Apple Pay on the Web. Those are policies defined by Apple. This means that Apple Pay is not available if you are operating in one of the following Business Categories:
- Adult content or services
- CBD/Marijuana (related) products
- Cruise lines
- Digital wallets
- Drug Stores, pharmacies and prescription medicine
- Precious Stones, Metals, Watches and Jewelry (>1000 euro)
- Telecom services (incl. (anonymous) SIM cards)
- Tobacco, cigars, e-cigarettes and related products
- Virtual currencies and crypto currencies
- Airsoft, laserguns, blank weapons, knives and fireworks
Good to know
To test Apple Pay, you need to use an Apple product such as an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook with the web browser Safari.
