By default, only the account owner (the user who applied for and manages the business account) has full access to the business account — including transferring funds, issuing cards, and managing settings.
You can also grant other team members access to the business account, at two levels: read-only access to view account activity, or full access to manage it on your behalf.
What you need to know in advance
- To grant Read-only business account access, the invited user must have the Admin or Finance role.
- To grant Full business account access, the invited user must have the Admin role. Because this permission lets them move funds, they'll need to verify their identity and set up secure sign-in in the Mollie app before it becomes active.
- Only you, as the account owner, can grant or remove full business account access, and you can revoke it at any time.
Inviting a user to your business account
- In your Mollie Dashboard, go to Settings > Team.
- Click + Add member.
- Choose the Admin or Finance role.
- Under Additional permissions, select Read-only business account access or Full business account access.
- Click Continue.
- Choose the person from the list of directors and shareholders, or select Enter details manually to add someone else. If adding someone manually, enter their first name, last name, date of birth, and email address.
- Click Invite user.
We'll email the invited user to join your account. This invitation is valid for 24 hours.
To accept, they'll need to create a Mollie account and download the Mollie app.
If you've granted Full business account access, they'll also need to confirm their personal details and verify their identity in the Mollie app before this permission becomes active. You'll be notified once this is complete.
You can check the status of an invitation, and see who currently has access, from Settings > Team.
