When using your Mollie business account, you can make online payments using iDEAL. This is a payment method available in the Netherlands that allows you to securely use funds directly from your account balance to pay at any online merchant that accepts iDEAL payments. To do this, you will need to select Mollie from the list of banks during the checkout process.
How do I make an iDEAL payment?
- At the merchant's online checkout, select iDEAL as your payment method.
- From the list of available banks, choose Mollie.
- You will be redirected to a Mollie payment screen to approve the transaction. If you are on a desktop, you will be shown a QR code to scan with your Mollie App. If you are on your mobile device, the Mollie App will open automatically.
- Review the payment details, such as the amount and the recipient, within the Mollie mobile app.
- Authorise the payment within the Mollie mobile app.
- Once the payment is approved, you will be automatically redirected back to the merchant's website, and the payment will be complete.
All iDEAL payments are processed instantly and will appear in your transaction overview immediately.
