An iDEAL payment is a guaranteed, real-time payment from your account to a merchant's account. Once you approve the transaction in your Mollie App, the payment is processed instantly and is irreversible. For this reason, an iDEAL payment cannot be cancelled or reversed by Mollie.
What should I do if I have an issue with an iDEAL payment?
If you have an issue with a product or service you purchased using iDEAL (for example, if the goods are not delivered or are faulty), you must first contact the merchant directly to resolve the issue. The merchant will be able to help you with your order, process a refund, or find another solution as per their own policies.
This is the standard procedure for all iDEAL transactions, regardless of the bank used to make the payment.
Mollie facilitates the transfer of funds but is not a party to the sales agreement between you and the merchant. Therefore, we cannot mediate in commercial disputes.
