Revenue Day Payouts is a payout setting that matches each payout to the revenue you generated on a specific business day. It's designed to simplify reconciliation: instead of searching across multiple payout batches to match a day's sales, each payout corresponds to exactly one revenue day.
Benefits
- Simplified reconciliation — each payout matches a full day's revenue, so you can reconcile by date without searching across multiple payouts.
- Predictable cash flow — you know exactly what revenue will be paid out each day.
- Faster settlement for credit cards and Klarna — when Revenue Day Payouts is active, settlement delays for credit cards reduce from T+4 to T+3, and for Klarna from T+5 to T+3.
How it works
When Revenue Day Payouts is enabled, Mollie harmonises the settlement delays of all your eligible payment methods and sends distinct payouts rather than batching weekend payments into Monday. Mollie will automatically make the following changes:
- Settlement delays for eligible payment methods are harmonised to T+1 or T+3 (depending on your enabled methods — see table below).
- Your minimum payout amount is set to €0.
- Your balance reserve is disabled if one was set.
- You'll receive payouts every business day.
Payout schedule
| Revenue day | Payout day — Category 1 only (T+1) | Payout day — Category 1 + 2 (T+3) |
| Monday | Wednesday | Friday |
| Tuesday | Thursday | Monday |
| Wednesday | Friday | Monday |
| Thursday | Monday | Monday |
| Friday | Monday | Tuesday |
| Saturday | Monday | Wednesday |
| Sunday | Tuesday | Thursday |
Category 1: iDEAL, Bancontact, Belfius, KBC, Point of Sale
Category 2: Credit Card, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay
Category 2 methods are only eligible when at least one Category 1 method is also enabled. PayPal, Vouchers, and Gift Cards are settled outside Mollie and are also eligible.
After enabling Revenue Day Payouts, it takes a few business days for your payouts to fully align with the new schedule — for T+1 accounts, your first complete Revenue Day Payout is after 3 business days; for T+3, after 5 business days. This is because you may already have funds in your pending or available balance.
Other transactions
Refunds, chargebacks, and other balance transactions are added to the payout batch as they occur. If chargebacks or Mollie fees deplete your balance or push it negative, the payout for that day is skipped. Your schedule will re-calibrate automatically within a few days — no action needed. For captures, the moment of capture is treated as the moment revenue is recognised.
Enabling Revenue Day Payouts
- In your Mollie Dashboard, go to Settings > Balance.
- Under Payout frequency, select Revenue Day Payouts.
- Click Save.
If the option isn't visible, your account isn't currently eligible. See the eligibility section below.
Eligibility
Revenue Day Payouts is currently only available for EUR balances.
You are not eligible if any of the following apply:
- You have payment methods enabled that are outside the eligible list above.
- A custom settlement delay has been applied to your account.
- A rolling reserve has been applied to your account.
- You're onboarded as a sub-seller on a Marketplace platform.
Eligibility is checked automatically. If you become non-eligible after enabling Revenue Day Payouts — for example by activating an ineligible payment method — Mollie will automatically disable it and reset your payout frequency to weekly. You can change this via Settings > Balance. Revenue Day Payouts becomes available again once you regain eligibility.
