How do I set up the Mollie Terminal App?

Activating the Terminal app can be done within 30 seconds. All you need is the Mollie Terminal app and a QR code which you can retrieve from the dashboard.

  • You have completed Onboarding and your business is eligible for In-person payments.
  • You have enabled Point of Sale in the Mollie App.
  • Your device meets the minimum technical requirements for Terminal App payments:
    • Minimum Android 10.0 
    • Android Security patch less than 12 months old.
    • Built-in NFC (android.hardware.nfc).
    • 64-bit ARM v8 processor or greater.
    • Stable internet connection.
    • Google Mobile Services (GMS) certified and enabled.
    • Single screen device.


Retrieving a QR code:

  1. In the Mollie Dashboard, navigate to “Browse” or follow this link.
  2. Click on “Point-of-sale”.
  3. Click on “Add Terminal”, then “Activate Terminal App”.
  4. Select the desired profile. and ensure “Point of Sale” is enabled.
  5. To create payments directly in the Terminal App, ensure the “Allow local sales” toggle is on.

 

Activating the Mollie Terminal app:

  1. In the Mollie Terminal App, click on “Start setup”.
  2. Scan the QR code in your dashboard with the Mollie Terminal App, or type in the 24 digits.
  3. Allow the required permissions.
  4. Click “Next”; your device will complete the setup.
