A liability period is a timeframe during which a customer can dispute a transaction with their bank and request a refund through a chargeback. This period exists to help ensure that customers can be reimbursed if they initiate a valid chargeback.
Before we can issue a final payout, we may need to temporarily hold the funds. This can occur if a customer used a non-guaranteed payment method—such as Klarna, SEPA direct debit, credit card, or in3—or even a guaranteed payment method, depending on the reason for the payout.
