Why has my customer's Klarna payment failed?

There are several reasons why a transaction may fail when your customer tries to pay with Klarna.


Billing country is not available

Check out our supported billing countries on our API docs. Please note if the consumer billing country is not supported the transaction will fail.


Customer is declined by Klarna

Klarna holds the right to deny customers from using their payment method. Reasons for this include failing the credit check.


Your webshop isn’t using the Mollie Orders API

You must use our Orders API to process Klarna orders through your website. You also need to install one of our supported plugins and modules or build a custom integration into your backend.
