Setting up multi-currency payouts involves two steps: adding and verifying a bank account in the new currency, then creating an additional balance for that currency in your Dashboard. Before you start, check that your account is eligible for multi-currency payouts.
Step 1: Add and verify a bank account in the new currency
- In your Mollie Dashboard, click your organisation name in the top left corner.
- Go to Settings > Bank account.
- Click Add new bank account and fill in your bank account details. Mollie accepts IBANs and local UK bank accounts (account number + sort code).
- Verify your bank account — the process differs depending on the currency:
- EUR or GBP — verify directly in the Dashboard via Plaid or a €0.01 / £0.01 bank transfer. See What bank account information should I provide?
- All other currencies — You'll need to provide a recent bank statement (no older than 1 month) showing: your business name, the date it was issued, the bank name and address, and the IBAN. Verification takes 3–5 business days. You can contact your account manager for support.
Step 2: Add an additional balance
You can add the additional balance while your bank account is being verified — it will only become active once verification is complete.
- In your Mollie Dashboard, go to Settings > Balance.
- Click Add payout currency in the top right.
- Select the Payout currency and enter your Payout bank account details.
- You can change settings like payout frequency afterwards.
Once your bank account is verified and the balance is active, payments in that currency will settle to the new balance and be paid out to the linked bank account.
Payout fees
A fee of 1% of the payout amount applies to each payout in a currency other than your primary balance currency, subject to the following minimums:
| Currency | Minimum payout fee |
| AUD | 8.75 |
| CAD | 7.50 |
| CHF | 5.00 |
| CZK | 125 |
| DKK | 40.00 |
| EUR | 5.00 |
| GBP | 5.00 |
| HUF | 2,000 |
| NOK | 62.50 |
| PLN | 23.50 |
| RON | 25 |
| SEK | 62.50 |
| USD | 5.00 |
Good to know
- Transactions, accounting reports, refunds, and chargebacks for each additional currency are tracked separately within that currency's balance.
- If a payment arrives in a currency that hasn't been added to your account, it will be automatically converted to your primary currency before being paid out.
- Before adding a non-primary currency bank account, check that your bank can natively receive that currency. Some banks automatically convert incoming amounts at an unfavourable rate or charge additional fees. Read What are multi-currency payouts? for more on the banking implications.
