Beta — see What is the Mollie Dispute Portal? for status and roadmap.
When a dispute reaches the final Lost status, a chargeback fee is charged. The fee amount and structure depend on the payment method — see Per-payment-method fees below for the amounts that apply to each method.
No additional Mollie fees are charged for the Dispute Portal itself.
When the fee applies
- Charged only when a dispute reaches the final Lost status — whether by defense ruled against you, by your choice to Accept, or by missing the response due date.
- Won disputes are not charged.
- No fee is charged for disputes still in Response required or Under review.
- The fee is charged retroactively — it appears on your statement after the dispute is closed, not at the moment it opens.

Elevated chargeback fee
When your overall dispute rate exceeds 1.5%, Klarna applies an additional charge of up to €30 on top of the standard fee. The elevated fee is meant to discourage merchants from running with consistently high dispute rates — keep your dispute rate below 1.5% to avoid it. If you think you're being charged the elevated fee in error, contact Mollie Support.
