How access is granted
When Klarna is activated for your business, Mollie creates a Merchant ID (MID) at Klarna using the contact details from your website profile. Shortly after activation, Klarna sends a "Welcome to Klarna's Merchant Portal" email to that contact address containing an activation link.
▎ Note: The activation link is valid for 72 hours.
I didn't receive the activation email
If the email address on your Mollie profile was already associated with a Klarna account, Klarna will not send a new email. Instead, you'll see a To-Do on the homepage of the Klarna Merchant Portal with the prompt:
▎ Confirm your account
Click the To-Do to accept the invitation and link the account.
My activation link has expired
If you didn't activate your account within 72 hours, the easiest way to regain access is:
1. Go to https://portal.klarna.com
2. Click Forgot Password?
3. Klarna will send a new verification email to your registered email address
Alternatively, Mollie Support can retrigger the activation email on your behalf. Contact support if you need assistance with this.
Which email address is linked to my profile?
The email address used for your Klarna Merchant Portal access is taken from your Mollie website profile contact information.
To check or update it:
1. In your Mollie Dashboard, go to Settings > Profiles
2. Select the relevant profile
3. Check the Contact information section
