What you need to know in advance
You can use the freeze card feature if you wish to temporarily restrict usage of the card. This action can be reversed by unfreezing the card for usage again.
You can terminate the card to restrict usage permanently. This action cannot be reversed and will mean that the card can no longer be used. In this case a new card will need to be created to continue using the Mollie Card product.
How do I freeze my Mollie card temporarily?
- Log in to your Mollie dashboard or mobile app
- Go to the Cards page
- Select the card you wish to freeze
- Click Freeze
You will receive confirmation that the card was successfully frozen and the card will appear in the card overview with a snowflake symbol to indicate that it is currently frozen.
How do I unfreeze my Mollie card?
- Log in to your Mollie dashboard or mobile app
- Go to the Cards page
- Select the card you wish to unfreeze
- Click Unfreeze
- Confirm the action via 2FA in the Mollie mobile app
You will receive confirmation that the card was successfully unfrozen and the card will appear normally in the card overview.
How do I terminate my card?
- Log in to your Mollie dashboard or mobile app
- Go to the Cards page
- Select the card you wish to terminate
- Select Settings
- Select Terminate card
- Select Terminate in the subsequent pop-up to confirm the action
Note: Once you terminate the card, this action cannot be reversed. Terminating the card will also remove the card from any digital wallets to which it has been added and any pending or recurring transactions will be declined from that moment.
