How can I get higher Mollie Capital offers?

Mollie Capital financing offers are based on Mollie’s analysis of your business performance. To estimate how much financing your business may be eligible for, we analyse the sales processed through Mollie.

If you don’t use Mollie to process all of your payments — for example, if you process online payments with Mollie but use another provider for in-person payments — sharing additional financial data may help us build a more complete picture of your business performance and maximise your financing offers.

 

Connect your bank account

If your Mollie Capital application process is handled by our partner Youlend, you can securely connect your bank account to Mollie.

We’ll ask you to connect the bank account where you receive your Mollie payouts and guide you through the process step by step.

Once connected, Mollie or our financing partner, YouLend, analyses your transaction data to identify inbound payments from other payment service providers and platforms. This allows us to include revenue processed outside of Mollie when assessing your eligibility.

When you request a Capital offer, Mollie or YouLend analyses your business performance based on:

  • Sales processed through Mollie
  • Revenue received from other payment providers or platforms

By taking into account a broader view of your business revenue, we may be able to provide higher or more tailored financing offers. You’ll typically receive your offer within 24 hours.

 

Why am I asked to connect my bank account?

Connecting your bank account helps us better understand your overall business performance if some of your payments are processed outside of Mollie.

For example, if you process:

  • Online payments with Mollie
  • In-person payments with another provider

we may otherwise only see part of your total revenue, which could impact the financing amount offered.

 

Who is Plaid?

You may notice that the bank connection is powered by Plaid. Plaid is a secure open banking platform that allows Mollie to safely connect to your bank account to support your Mollie Capital application.

 

Is it safe to connect my bank account?

Yes. Plaid uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your information.

Your bank account connection is used only to help assess your eligibility for Mollie Capital offers. To learn more about how Plaid handles your data, you can review their privacy policy on their website.

 

Can I disconnect my bank account?

Yes, you can disconnect your bank account at any time.

To disconnect your account:

  1. In your Mollie Dashboard, click your organisation name in the top left corner
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Bank account
  4. Click the delete icon next to the connected account
  5. Confirm your request
