How long does it take to process a payment?

The processing time for a payment depends on what payment method was used. Payments via Klarna or credit and debit cards are usually added to your available balance in 5 days. You can view the status of your payment in your Mollie Dashboard.

Please note that your payouts also depend on your payout frequency.

Bancontact Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and is immediately added to your available balance.
Belfius Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and is immediately added to your available balance.
Credit and debit cards Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is added to your available balance after 5 business days. The cardholder can request a chargeback within 180 days.
EPS Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance within 2 business days.
Giropay Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance within 2 business days.
iDEAL Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance on the next business day.
in3 Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance within 11 business days.
KBC/CBC Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and is immediately added to your available balance.
Klarna Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance within 5 business days.
PayPal Status is updated directly after payment. The payout is done by PayPal. The payment can be reversed by PayPal.
paysafecard Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance on the next business day.
Przelewy24 Status is updated directly after payment. The payment is guaranteed and added to your available balance within 3 business days.
SEPA bank transfer Status is updated after the funds are in our bank account, usually within 2 business days. The payment is added to your available balance after we receive the funds.
SEPA Direct Debit Status is updated 1 business day after direct debit date. The payment is added to your available balance after 10 business days. Payments can fail up to 5 business days after the direct debit date. The customer can request a chargeback within 56 days.
SOFORT Banking Status is updated to ‘paid’ directly after the consumer authorises the payment. However, it takes 2-5 business days for us to receive the payment. After the payment is received, the status will change to ‘paid out’ on your next settlement date. Please note that until the status has changed to ‘paid out’, there is no guarantee we have received the funds.

We take various measures to minimise risks associated with our customers. The timing and frequency of these assessments may change over time. In some cases, these measures may impact your estimated settlement times. On rare occasions, we may take measures (in accordance with article 5.6 of our User Agreement) that may impact your access to the funds in your balance. If your account is impacted, we’ll notify you as soon as we can, and include information about any further steps.
