Enable payment methods in Lightspeed

To add a payment method to your checkout, you enable it in your Lightspeed eCom app before activating it in your online store. After a payment method is enabled in your app, it's automatically enabled in your Mollie Dashboard.

 

Enable your payment methods

  1. Log in to Lightspeed eCom and go to Apps > Purchased apps.
    This opens the Account settings page.

  2. Scroll down to Payment methods - activation.

  3. Switch on the toggle icon next to the payment method that you want to enable.
    The colour of the toggle indicates the payment method's state:

    • A blue toggle means the payment method is enabled. Customers can pay with the payment method in your online store.

    • A yellow toggle means the payment method is pending. We need to approve your request to activate the payment method. After approval, the payment method becomes available in your online store.

 

Activate payment methods in your online store

  1. Log in to Lightspeed eCom and go to Apps > Purchased apps.
    This opens the Account settings page.

  2. Select Payment methods settings in the left navigation panel.

  3. Select Default settings from the dropdown to activate a standard selection of payment methods in your checkout, or select a country from the list to create a custom list of payment methods for a specific country.

  4. Enable the toggle icon next to the payment methods that you want to activate in your checkout.

 

Set up credit card features

Mollie Payments for Lightspeed has two credit card checkout features available that provide a smooth payment experience for your customers.

  • Mollie Components places the credit card fields in your checkout, which saves your customers an extra step in the payment flow.

  • One-click payments offers customers the possibility to securely save their credit card details so that they can use the same card for future orders.

When you combine these features, customers that pay by credit card enjoy an easy experience. Those that don't want to save their credit card details can provide them directly in your checkout. Those that want to save their card for future payments provide their details in your checkout the first time they make a payment. The next time they purchase something from your online store, they select their card from the Mollie Checkout.

Mollie Components is incompatible with the latest version of the Lightspeed eCom checkout. For more information about the new checkout, read the Lightspeed documentation.

 

To enable Mollie Components and/or one-click payments, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Lightspeed eCom and go to Apps > Purchased apps.
    This opens the Account settings page.

  2. Select Payment methods settings in the left navigation panel.

  3. Select Default settings from the dropdown to enable Mollie Components in all countries, or select a country from the list.

  4. Scroll down to credit card and click Manage settings.

  5. Switch on the toggle next to Mollie Components and/or One-click payments.

  6. Click Save.
