Magento 2: Customise your checkout

Improve the user experience and maintain brand consistency in your Magento 2 checkout by customising logos, the bank list style, third-party checkout, and which payment methods are displayed.

Mollie for Magento 2 also offers localisation options for your checkout in specific markets.

Hide payment method logos

Hide payment method logos to display only payment method names.

  1. Log in to Magento 2.

  2. Go to Stores > Configuration.

  3. On the Configuration page, scroll to Mollie , select the arrow, and then General.

  4. Expand the Settings section, and in the Show icons drop-down menu, select No.

  5. Save the changes.

Hide payment methods based on order amount limits

Set an upper order amount limit to encourage the use of other payment methods for larger orders so that you can benefit from lower transaction fees, faster processing times, or enhanced fraud protection. Set a lower limit to hide more expensive payment methods for smaller orders and streamline the checkout process for customers.

  1. Log in to Magento 2.

  2. Go to Stores > Configuration.

  3. Scroll to Mollie , select the arrow, and then Payment methods.

  4. Select the payment method that you want to configure.

  5. In the Minimum order total field, enter the minimum value.

  6. In the Maximum order total field, enter the maximum value.

  7. Save the changes.

Hide the payment method issuer list

Hide the issuer list of a payment method in your checkout to redirect payment to a third-party checkout.

This setting applies to the following payment methods:

  • iDEAL

  • KBC/CBC Payment Button

  • Gift cards

  1. Log in to Magento 2.

  2. Go to Stores > Configuration.

  3. Scroll to Mollie , select the arrow, and then Payment methods.

  4. Select the payment method that you want to configure.

  5. Select Don't show issuer list from the Issuer list style drop-down menu.

  6. Save the changes.

Change the issuer list style

Optimize the display of iDEAL, KBC/CBC Payment Button, and gift card issuer lists in your checkout.

  1. Log in to Magento 2.

  2. Go to Stores > Configuration.

  3. Scroll to Mollie , select the arrow, and then Payment methods.

  4. Select the payment method that you want to configure.

  5. Select an option from the Issuer list style drop-down menu:

    • To display the list as a drop-down menu, select Dropdown.

    • To display the list with icons, select List with images.

    • To hide the list, select Don't show issuer list.

  6. Save the changes.
