Magento 2: Diagnose issues

Get the log files

To get the log file, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Magento 2.

  2. Go to Stores > Configuration.

  3. On the Configuration page, scroll to Mollie , select the arrow, and then General.

  4. Scroll down to Debug and logging, and click Check last 100 debug log records.

  5. View the log online, or download it as a text file.

The information provided in the logs should help you to understand which troubleshooting steps to take. We recommend that you share them with us whenever you contact support for assistance.

Check the release notes

Important

Before updating Mollie for Magento 2, check the Mollie for Magento 2 release notes↗ to see whether it works with your Magento 2 version. Otherwise, you might experience compatibility issues with Magento 2 or other third-party modules.

Check status updates

Tip

You can customise the status mapping between Magento 2 and Mollie.

  1. Check the Magento 2 order status.

  2. Check the Mollie status:

    1. Log in to your Mollie Dashboard.

    2. Go to Transactions > Payments.

    3. Search for the payment or order and check the status in the Status column.

  3. Compare the Magento 2 and Mollie statuses to ensure that they correspond.

If the statuses don't match, try the troubleshooting options listed in Payments not processing properly.

Check the API keys

  1. Log in to Magento 2.

  2. Go to Stores > Configuration.

  3. On the Configuration page, scroll to Mollie , select the arrow, and then General.

  4. Click Test API key under API details.

If the API keys are incorrect, you can try to restore the connection.
