WooCommerce: Set up express payment options

Some payment methods offer an express payment option through a button that customers click to make their payment. This lets customers skip the full checkout flow, because their information is already securely stored by the payment method.

With the Mollie plugin, you can add the following express payment options:

  • Apple Pay Direct

  • PayPal Express

Display the Apple Pay button

You can enable Apple Pay Direct to add a payment button for Apple Pay to your checkout and product pages.

What you need to do in advance

  1. Log in to WooCommerce.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Select the Mollie Settings tab.

  4. Select Edit next to the payment method name.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and select Enable Apple Pay Button on Cart page, Enable Apple Pay Button on Product page or both.

  6. Save the changes.

Display the PayPal Express button

You can enable PayPal Express to add a payment button for PayPal to your checkout and product pages.

Note

PayPal Express is only available for digital products.

  1. Log in to WooCommerce.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Select the Mollie Settings tab.

  4. Select Edit next to the payment method name.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom half of the page, and select Display on cart page or Display on product page or both.

  6. Select the button text language and colour.

  7. In the Minimum amount to display the button field, type in an amount.

    • Below this amount, the button will not be displayed.

    • The currency is your default webshop currency.

  8. Save the changes.

Hide the PayPal Express button based on the order amount

You can set a minimum order amount for PayPal Express. When a customer's order amount is lower than the minimum set, PayPal Express is hidden from your checkout.

  1. Log in to WooCommerce.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings.

  3. Select the Mollie Settings tab.

  4. Click Edit next to PayPal.

  5. Scroll down to Minimum amount to display button and enter a value.

    The units and currency are your store's defaults.

  6. Save the changes.
