Gambio: Install and connect

Enhance your shop's payment options by installing Mollie for Gambio and connecting to Mollie.

What you need to do in advance

  • Create a Mollie account.

  • Determine your Gambio version to download the appropriate Mollie module.

  • Ensure that you have an FTP client installed.

Install

  1. Go to Mollie for Gambio releases↗.

  2. Find your Gambio version.

  3. Download the source code file under Assets.

  4. Extract the contents of the file and copy them to the root directory of your Gambio web server using your FTP client.

  5. Go to Toolkit > Cache in your Gambio dashboard and clear the following caches:

    • module

    • output

    • text

  6. Go to icon-puzzle-piece.png Modules > Modules-Center in your Gambio dashboard .

  7. Select Mollie from the list.

  8. Click Install.

(Optional) - Install Mollie Payment Surcharge module

If you want to charge your customers an additional fee for certain payment methods, install the Mollie Payment Surcharge module.

Important

Not all countries allow you to charge customers a payment fee. Always check your local legislation before applying a surcharge.

  1. Log in to Gambio.

  2. Go to icon-puzzle-piece.png Modules > Order total.

  3. Scroll down and select Added Modules.

  4. Select Mollie Payment Surcharge.

  5. Select Install.

Connect

Mollie gives you two API keys to authenticate Gambio requests:

  • Use the test key after creating your Mollie account to connect and set up Mollie for Gambio, as well as to test payment methods and payment statuses.

  • Use the live key after Mollie approves your account to run Mollie for Gambio in live mode and accept real payments.

After installing Mollie for Gambio, use these API keys to connect to Mollie.

  1. Log in to your Mollie Dashboard.

  2. If your organization isn't already chosen, select it from the drop-down menu in the top-left corner of the dashboard's home page, next to the ID.

    Important

    To comply with UK regulations, UK-based merchants must select a UK-registered organisation to ensure use of the correct API keys.

  3. Go to Developers > API keys.

  4. Copy the API keys.

  5. Go to icon-puzzle-piece.png Modules > Modules-Center.

  6. Select Mollie from the module list and click Edit.

  7. Paste the API keys into their respective fields.

  8. Turn the Test mode toggle on or off. We recommend turning it on until you are sure that everything works as you expect.

  9. Select Verify token to confirm that your API keys work.

  10. Select Save changes.
